Paycheck!

I have decided, I like getting paid. I visited my bank account online today, and there was an extra $188 dollars. Hmm...I'm liking this.

Tests

Jess and I both took our first Chemistry test today. We got the same score (ironic) which was an 88. We're pretty sure we got the same answers wrong too. Go figure, seeing as we studied together. Anyways, this was my third test in the testing center. The two previous were for Book of Mormon and I got a 100 and 92 on them. Not too bad, if I do say so myself. Now, all I have to do is take my Calculus test tomorrow and Astronomy tomorrow or Monday. Wish me luck!

Oh, the power of hand-sanitizer

We bought a little white-board for our room before we left for BYU, and over the past few weeks, it obtained a big black "smudge" that refused to go away. We were to the point where we were just going to buy some rubbing alcohol to get rid of it. It was actually on a list of things to buy when I spotted the hand-sanitizer Mom bought for us before she left. I thought, "there's alcohol in hand-sanitizer. Why not try that?" Guess what? IT WORKED! We now have a clean white-board hanging on our door. Now we just need to figure out a way to keep it from falling off....but that's a different problem.

A Return to Virtue

Elaine S. Dalton gave a CES fireside tonight at the Marriot Center. It was incredible. She called for all the young adults to return to virtue. I am looking forward to many more devotionals throughout the school year, especially the one on Tuesday: President Thomas S. Monson is speaking!

Jeans

As I was biking to campus Friday morning, there was a sudden tugging feeling on my pant leg, a ripping sound and then my jeans tightened. I looked down and the bottom of my jeans were wrapped around the gears of my bike. For some weird reason, I didn't really feel embarrassed or anything. I just stopped and tried to disentangle my pants. Someone asked if I needed any help, and he held my bike as I tugged on my pant leg. It came free, but I had to go to all my classes with a rip in my pant leg. I don't know how noticeable it was. It did rip along the seam (well, one rip on either side). I'm going to be creative and try to fix it, but I don't know how successful I will be...

Bee Attacks

Our roommate, Tiffany, got stung 6 times the other day as she was walking up the outer stairs to our apartment. We all thought it was bad luck. Then I got stung on my leg while leaving for work the other day. I finally located the nest, which was hidden under a railing. I decided to avoid that particular turn and always look for bees when walking up the stairs. Tiffany also got stung again, and she and Kelsi decided to call maitenance. Voila, the nest is gone! No more bees!

Brigham Young University

Go Cougars!
Jenn and I are currently attending Brigham Young University (BYU). Classes started last Monday and have been really interesting so far. Much more interesting than high school--no "busy" time during class hours. We went to our first college soccer match Friday night. BYU lost in the second "sudden death" but it was a very exciting game to watch. The crowd was really into it, up and down all night long. Can't wait for more games: soccer, football, everything!
